Avoiding Pawclosure

I feel like almost everyday I hear the unfortunate story about a friend or a friend of a friend who is facing possible foreclosure.  It is a scary time in the world right now and for some losing their home is imminent.  What about the helpless furry victims of foreclosure?  Animals that have been left behind with no where to go.  That is where the not for profit organization No Paws Left Behind comes in.

Shelters are becoming extremely overcrowded or are even at capacity due to the record increase in foreclosures.  No Paws is dedicated to bringing awareness and finding solutions to the growing problem of foreclosure pets.  They team up with no kill shelters to help pets find adoptive families.  Foster care programs are another temporary option until the family is settled and they even help provide monetary assistance for “pet deposits” required by new landlords.

I am so happy to hear this group exists to help give these poor pets a voice and save them from the streets.  If you want to donate, even a small $10 tax-deductible gift can help keep them safe.
