Tax Relief to Help Keep Fido

sad dogThe economy is affecting both humans and their canine companions.  Many pet owners are being forced to give up their best friends due to financial hardship.  Well, everyone can help make pet care more affordable by urging congress to pass the HAPPY Act.

H.R. 3501, known as the “HAPPY Act”, would help Americans provide their pets with the medical attention and quality of life they deserve by making up to $3,500 of qualifying pet care expenses, including veterinary care costs, tax-deductible.

The animal rescue site discusses more information and how you can sign a petition to help.  I hate to think of the many pets that are winding up on the streets or in a shelter.  This act can help pets be able to remain in their loving homes where they belong.
