Pet Pawtraits

I’ve got a ton of pictures of my beagle Oliver, but I don’t yet have an original painting of him.  That would be a pretty cool thing to have.  Well, many artists are now taking a snapshot you already have and turning it into a fine piece of artwork.  There are a ton of companies online that can do this and do it in their own unique style.  In this blog, I wanted to highlight the company Artpaw that has a cool thing going using digital art technique. 

Artpaw makes one-of-a kind custom portraits in a wide variety of color combos and layout options for a variety of tastes.  According to their website,  their style incorporates hand drawn lines and traditional painting techniques which are implemented on the computer.  They offer two distinct styles, the “painterly” or the “warhol” and prices range from the low end of $135 on up to $1200.  Artpaw has even been featured on the today show.  What a great gift this would make for the animal lover in your life.  Hint hint Mom.
