Protect Pets This Summer

Our pets enjoy the warm summer months as much as we do, but they are also vulnerable to some of the dangers the summer poses. Dehydration, disease, and pesky insects can spell disaster for  your family pet. Keeping your buddy hydrated is extremely important and is also a local and state law. People do not realize that leaving their pets in vehicles can be fatal. The two most important things to think about for your pets and the summer are making sure they have lots of water and proper shelter/shade. The third thing to consider is making sure your pet has flea and tick protection as well as a rabies vaccination, especially in the heat. Don’t forget pets need sunscreen too.
