Bells Are Ringing
Everyone knows that potty-training our pup is no easy task. With a little help from Poochie-Bells and their proven training method, teaching your pet to “ring the bells” when she needs to go outside can actually be fun. The system is based on Ivan Pavlov’s ideology and even has a 95% success rate. By ringing the bells each and every time your furry friend has to go outside, she associates the ringing of the bells with the reward of being able to go outside and getting praise from her favorite person.
In just six steps, you can train your best buddy to let you know she needs to go outside and eliminate accidents in your home. My pup is already potty-trained, but I gave the bells to a friend who recently adopted an 8 week-old Bulldog. She wasn’t convinced initially, but the proof was in the Poochie-Bells.
The steps include hanging the bells from your front or back door, getting your family involved by having everyone say, “Outside… ring the bells!”, reinforcing her behavior by saying the command and ringing the bells, following through by praising your pet and letting her outside, trying to get her to ring the bells when she needs to go outside (after several weeks or when she’s picked it up) and continue to praise your pooch and let her outside everytime she does ring the bells.
The training time depends on consistency and your effort. It’s important for you to listen for the bells… you will start to hear them ring! Poochie-Bells retail starting at $16.95 and come in a variety of styles.
